Overview
Cheverny & Cour Cheverny vineyards exist among one another.
Red & rosé Cheverny labelled wine is made from Pinot Noir & Gamay, and white Cheverny wine is a Sauvignon Blanc/Chardonnay blend.
Cour Cheverny purely produces one variety of wine, the extremely rare Romorantin, which is made into aromatic dry and occasionally sweet white dessert wine.
This region is the only place in the world where Romorantin is produced today. As such, it is a grape variety that is cultured with much pride by winemakers here.
The delights that lie within the two apellations of Cheverny and Cour Cheverny are vast, with wines being produced to high standards that remain relatively unknown outside of The Loire region.
You are hereby offered the key to unlock the treasure chest as you spend a full day visiting the very best winemakers in this lowkey region.
Marvel at the adept wine making skills and the unbelivable value presented by these two lesser known regions.
