Château de Valençay has long been described as one of the most beautiful castles on earth.
Originally built in the twelfth century, and mostly demolished and remodelled over the course of two hundred years, beginning in 1540, the stunning classical Chateau was once owned by Tallyrand - by order of Napoleon.
During visits to Valençay, guests adore exploring the stunning grounds of the Chateau. The interior is fully accesible and wandering around the beautifully manicured gardens are a very pleasant way to spend the afternoon.
This experience is only enhanced by combining cheese and wine tasting, with Valençay's most prominent producers, who are always delighted to offer you a sample of their work in their company.
